John, where are the places you've heard the PMC's??? I listened to the floorstanding models at Audio-One and they were THE BEST i ever heard. The bookshelf models at Kennedy hifi didn't really have the same impact on me as the floorstanding ones and personally, i don't think they are worth $1500 CAD if i compare them with what i have now. Don't take my opinion seriously though since i only listened to the bookshelfs for 30 mins or so.

    salvador,

i haven't actually heard them anywhere yet - i was pointed to them by a bryston technician in conversation.

i plan on taking a trip to audio-one to audition the ib1's.

i'm very interested in how the transmission-line bass performs.

has anyone else heard these speakers?

I really like my JMLab transmission-line speakers. They offer a fast, extended bass.

While not hearing the PMCs, my now-defunct local Bryston dealer was recommending powering them with Bryston power plates bolted to the back of the speaker. Kinda roll-your-own active speakers, eh?
