I have a 220->110 converter with a bunch of adaptor plugs for various countries.. If I was to go to France, there are two adaptor plugs, both consisting of two round poles both spaced apart the same, but one has larger diameter poles than the other and one is labelled "southern europe" and the other is labelled "northern europe" Which one does France fall into?

A friend of mine is going to Paris on business and I lent him my converter, but I am also going to Paris to see the tour so eventually I will need it, so he's my guinea pig! I know the converter works cause I've used it in Hong Kong and China before...

    Anybody know?

I've never seen or used 2 different plugs when traveling in europe. Always the same 2 prong plug, it now lives in my travel toiletry kit (this way I can always plug my 'lectric razor in).

I'm thinking "northern Europe" is what you want, but I'd take both to be sure.
