I currently use a Pioneer DV-525 that we will put in the living room. I am now in the market for a DVD player for the bedroom HT. Budget is up to US$1k but certainly won't mind spending less. I'd like a player that does both video AND audio well. DVD-A and SACD are not necessary but are interesting to me. Progressive scan on the player is desireable but it has to beat the doubler on my CW34x92. Online reviews (of video perfomance) point me to the Philips Q50, Kenwood 5700, and Panasonic RP56. I'll have to look hard for these models where I am (Manila, Philppines) since I've only seen Sonys (the 9000ES is sold here for US$2k!) and Pioneers (who seem to have been left behind by other brands of late). The audio partners of this DVD player will be a NAD T760, Dynaudio Audience 40, C120+, REL Q100E. Thanks in advance!
