AIM keeps returning to my desktop whenever I delete it.

I've removed it from Startup several times, and it keeps working its way back in.

My kids use it, so I don't want to completely obliterate it from the system, just from my account.

    Any help appreciated,

    Jon

Thanks, Christ, but I don't really want to change, just don't want it to keep appearing on MY pages.

the problem with aim (and anything else remotely related to aol) is that it puts its shortcuts and garbage everywhere. what works for this version may be powerless against a future version. good luck.

Make sure it isn't installing to the "All users" desktop. If it is, remove the shortcut from there and put it in the individual desktops of your kids. Leave it out of yours.

    Regards,

    Joe,

I don't have the AIM shortcut on my desktop - I just keep getting about three different AIM-related windows (listing my kids' buddies, etc.) popping up whenever I open my email program.
