Hi all,

I have a budget around $2000 and I'm looking for the best 52" LCD in this class. That's just a rough price point, because I know some of the major brands have models on sale around $2200 or so.

Anyways, we're looking for 1080p, 120HZ. On the 120HZ, I know its value is debatable, so I'd like a model where you can toggle interprolated frames or duplicated frames.

Other than that, I really don't know much about what is good. I see all this stuff about 1080p24 and native 24fps and it confuses me terribly. (For example, in another thread, a guy said he was looking for "120Hz capability with a factor of 24FPS so that 1080p24 displays at 24 times 5 and NOT 24 to 60 then 60 times 2," which makes my brain hurt.)

Thanks for looking.

Samsung 52A650 is gorgeous, yet retails around 3000, but I know for a fact that there is a pretty good amount of room to move on that price depending where you buy it from.

The LG Scarlett 52LG60 is another pretty nice choice to match your specs, it retails around 22-2300 bucks and other than the look of the TV itself, its definetly worth checking out.

Samsung 52A650 is a gorgeous TV, a little more than what you're looking to spend, retails around 3000$. But I know that price has quite a bit of room to move in regards to the price, depending on where you go.

The LG Scarlett 52LG60 meets all the specs you're looking for as well, and a few hundred dollars less, 22/2300 bucks. A lot of people I've talked to dont like the physcial look of the TV, but otherwise its another great choice to take a look into.

Samsung 52A650 for sure, It is great tv with fast 4ms response time, it is 1080p and 120Hz auto motion plus. You can read the reviews for it from amazon, about 350 reviews for it there. I want to get this tv also, but it is quite expensive, right now the lowwest price for it is $1952, your budget is enough for it.

Wow, the Sammy gets a lot of praise here. Amazon.com has it on sale right now.

The sheer number of 52"ers out there with 1080p 120hz is mind boggling.

Sony's OK. They have the XBR model and the W series. Easy Enough.

Then Toshiba's got three, and I don't know what the difference is!
They've got the 52XV540U, 52XV545U, and the 52XF550U.

And Samsung, holy crap. As far as I can tell, they've got the LN52A630, LN52A650, LN52A750, LN52A850, and LN52A860!!!
