    Hi folks!

I was wondering if I could elicit your help with a CD project I was thinking of trying.

I thought it would be really cool to pull Christmas related songs off of my vast CD library in order to burn a different kind of Christmas CD.

I was interested in doing it with songs that just touch on the Christmas subject. For example, the song Christmas from The Who's Tommy. Others I have thought of are, Father Christmas from the Kinks, Colder Than Christmas on the Fourth of July by Elton John, I Wish I Had A River (I Could Skate Away On) from Joni Mitchell, A Christmas Song from Jethro Tull, etc. You get the idea, the song might only mention the word Christmas once, like Joni's song.

I figured I could go through all of my CDs one at a time, but maybe I can get some great suggestions from all of you astute music fans out there.

So what do you say. Do you have any ideas? I would really appreciate it a lot.

    Thanks,

    Dan

If you can find it, Kate Bush's "December Will Be Magic Again" is a good example of what you're looking for. It's in the style of her pre-"The Dreaming" CDs. Good track altogether... fun.

Dan, cool idea. I love that Joni Mitchell song.

How about John Prine's 'Christmas in Prison'?

"It was Christmas in prison, and the food was real good; we had turkey and pistols, carved out of wood..."
