I am needing some advice on subwoofers and I figured what better place to ask about them then a forum dedicated to home theater. I purchased the Definitive Technologies Supercube 1 it's a good sub but it doesn't seem to really deliver the "punch" or the consistent amount of floor shaking SPL I'm looking for. I was hopeing someone would be kind enough to give me there advice on an earthshaking subwoofer in the price range of $3,000.00 or below I have been thinking about the Trinity series subs but I figured before I drop that kind of money I would try to get some advice so any input would be greatly appreciated The sub will ONLY be used for watching dvd movies no music or anything like that so take that into consideration. Thanks to everyone.
PS I guess My main question is what subwoofers can outperform the Definitve Technologies Supercube Trinity Subwoofer? I have been told that is the premier powered sub on the market today within an average joe's price range of a few thousand dollars. Would the top of the line SVS subs beat the Trinity or are there other powered subs out on the market that would outperform the Definitive Trinity with its dual 14" woofers is it possible to get more sound and SPL from a single speaker cabinet???????
