    Which one should I get?
I want either the Infinity IL120 or the Velodyne SPL-1200. I have a chance to get either one at a great price but don't know which one I should go with. I know both Subs are great. Please give some advice.
    Thanks,
    Mike

I would recommend you go look at Adire's offerings before making a decision. And while I'm at it, SVS also.

If it makes the decision easier, I can get you 25% off of the Velodyne. Lexicon too, if you're interested.

I purchased my SPL1200 a little over a month ago. I am extremely pleased with it and highly recommend the unit. It's amazing to hear this much bass coming out of a box of it's size. I got it for $1099 at a local retailer.
I am sure that I am going to regret asking this question, but here goes... Why can't a person request information about non-SVS subwoofers without being bombarded with requests to look into them? I am sure that SVS is great, but some of us are interested in other brands, why can't some just accept that?
    That's it. Flame suit on.

    CarlS Why you ask??
In general new members of this site may not know about SVS subs. The name is not well known(yet).
Don't forget new people tend to look for specific info before they browse the site, and with 4 posts to his name I'm sure he hasn't cruised too much

For the money SVS will kick the crap out of either sub...or so I've heard.

    Carl,
I don't think anyone should flame you, that was a legitimate question. I don't speak for everyone but the cool thing about this board and others is the information and experience of the members. When members see another member spending that kind of money on a product, they like to add thier experience into the mix. When it comes to subs, it is very well documented which ones are the best for a given amount of money. Now Michael may not want an SVS or an Adire, and may be getting the other subs mentioned at an incredible discount, at a local B&M. Thats great. But I know, for me, if I'm spending that kind of money I want all the information I can get. In example, I purchased dual 16-46cs samson package rather than 2 Klipsch KSW15's thanks to the members of this forum.

I ask because it happens all of the time. If I make a request for help in buying a Camry are you going to tell me that I should get an Accord? This is my point.
    Michael -
I apologize for messing up your thread. I will remove my post if you want.

    Carl,
If you didn't know an Accord existed, or how good it was, wouldn't you want to know about it. Information is a good thing.

    Carl,
Maybe Michael didn't know about any of the internet based sub companies. That may be why he focused on the Infinity or Vel. If he didn't know about them, he can now do a search to find out about them. He may still decide on the Infinity or Vel, but at least he will make a more educated decision.

Ok. I will just accept that.
I understand what you are saying, not sure if you understand me, but that's ok.
Once again, I will remove my post if needed.

Here's a solution - if the person starting a thread doesn't want all the inevitable SVS comments, they should specify that they don't want to hear it. If they don't, we can assume they probably don't know about SVS yet.
For the record, I'm getting a little tired of seeing 10 posts about SVS every time the word subwoofer comes up - and I'm an SVS owner/lover who learned about them through this site!

Thanks for all of the help, and nobody delete your post.
I haven't heard of the two subs, svs and adire. But I have went to there web sites and did some researh. However the Infinity and the Veldyne are the two that I will probably go with because I can get either one at very very low cost.
But again thx for the input and I think I will be going with the Velo.....
    Thanks,
    Mike Robinson
Any more input just let er rip>>>>>>>>>>>
