I remember seeing a movie in High School(about 20 years ago) but for the life of cant remember what the title was.

I believe it took place around the Civil War period and the story was about a soldier that is about to be hanged for trying to go AWOL. The film follows his adventures after he escapes and we see everything he goes through until the ending where you you see that in actuality he never really escaped and this whole adventure was in his mind.
The last scene he IS hanged.

I'm not so sure if this was a movie, or an episode of a TV show like The Twilight Zone.

I remember seeing this same program when I was a kid (a long, long time ago [IMG] )

Its the short story, AN OCCURENCE AT OWL CREEK BRIDGE, which was indeed made into a cool TWILIGHT ZONE episode.

    Thank you everyone!
Amazing how this was shown to so many people in school and all these years later it has stuck with us.
