Zoom: 4:3 TV. It is listed as a feature on some dvd players, but I'm not sure I know what it means.

I think it takes a letterbox movie and zooms in so that if fits the tv. This is good feature for people dont like the black bars on the top/bottom of movies. I might be wrong though.[IMG]

    Brad,
Which specific players are we talking about?

If this is the "4/3 Zoom" feature on a Panasonic RB82 or CP72, it doesn't seem to do anything, at least not on mine.

If you're looking for something that will zoom a nonamorphic widescreen dvd, you want a feature called "scaling."

JVCs and the Panasonic RP91 have this feature, others may also have it but I'm not aware of them.

Yes, those the units that I was asking about. So, basically it is a non-function.
