In trying to get more of the punch "feel" out of my 16-46pc+ I was wondering if by blocking a port to move the hump down very low and flating out the responce curve, then setting the SS filter to 20hz/25hz, then cranking up the gain would allow me to get harder hitting bass without worring about bottoming out down low where the hump is. Is this possible or am I thinking about this in the wrong way? The bottoming out at high gain level causing hump that Im trying to do away with is shown

    Richard,

If you are having the need for more output the LAST thing you want to be doing is blocking ports.

Better to simply run all ports open and set the subsonic filter to 20 or 25Hz. You'll give up some really deep bass but gain a bit of SPL capacity up higher.

"Punch" is typically MUCH higher up the bass spectrum. Ultimately if you are looking for more there you might want to change over to a 25-31PC-Plus or 20-39PC-Plus.

    Or a PB2-Plus even.
