playing games on a projector

    ive heard its ok to play ps2,GC,xbox but that you cannot pause due to image burn is this a myth or a reality????

    What kind of projector do you have, or are planning to get? For example, LCD projectors are not susceptible to "burn-in" as are CRT devices.

    You have to watch out for any static image, from any source. Common offenders are: news or stock tickers, network logos, DVD menus left on the screen unattended, and videogame scoreboards.

    Turn down the contrast on your set for the best protection, vary your viewing among different sources, minimize viewing of networks with logos (which is almost all of them), and in general, be careful of any sort of unmoving image on your set.

    You don't have to be super-paranoid, just aware.
