Have a friend who is considering
a plasma TV. He isn't happy with
the lack of side view that his LCD
gives him and is hoping the Plasma
    fares better for side sitting.

Is the plasma good for side-view
    watching?

    Thanks in advance

Plasma tv's have an excellent viewing angle. I am very impressed with how good the picture is when sitting way off to the side (which is where I put myself frequently when company is here watching something).

You can easily have your friend test this himself. Go to any store that has plasmas, LCDs, DLPs, etc. The best viewing angle is clearly with plasma. It is something that I look at frequently when I am looking at some of the newer tv's.

It's excellent Ron. Have him check out the Panasonic Th50PHD7UY. I bought mine after we returned from the HTF CA trip and have been loving it.
