Sounds like you should just take the hassle out of it and buy two PB2's, that way you know they'll match perfectly. :D

I actually did this same thing a few years ago and it worked fine. I put down some of the blue, silly putty-type stuff (can't remember the name) between the two and that seemed to isolate it well. However, my speakers were nowhere near a PB2, so you want to avoid sticking stuff to it, I know I would.
