    Hello guys,

Ready to buy a projector now, and have narrowed it to the panasonic 200u or 300u.

Was thinking 300u just to have the dvi input (I know about 1:1) and the Screendoor reduction technology.

    1699 isnt horrible.

The 200U was my first choice, but I do not want screen door.

I have a 6' 10" celing in a basement, this is my limitation.

I want to ceiling mount still.

    Room is 15 long x 11 wide x 6' 10" high.

Couch is at 14-15' from the screen. Screen will be 52hx92w so I think thats about 105" diag.

We should be close to 1.5

Hard call, price may determine. The theater will be for dvd movies 95% and maybe 5% ps2/xbox

Any help/info about my room sizing would be great!

Thanks a lot Ron, think that made up my mind. Can spend the extra cash on better surrounds.

My only concern was screendoor. Saving over 700 bucks is attractive.

    Thanks,

P.S> Your theater pictures is what got me into this, your room looks great and convinced my fiance we do need a theater =)

    Brian:

I am at 12.5 ft and am currently watching on a 94" screen. The only time I really notice screen door is when I am looking for it. Then I can see it. The other night I was watching Harry Potter and I just enjoyed the movie and didn't even really notice it except occasionally. The size of the screen and the story is what sucked me in and I didn't notice it. I was also watching Metallica's Cunning Stunts and I noticed it a bit more, but again I just got into the concert. If I scale back the screen a few inches then it disappears.

Ron is responsible for me getting this projector and wanting to build a theater in the garage as well!

    thanks Ron![IMG]

    Later,

    Don
