Pioneer VSXD810S ? (1 Viewer)

This receiver states it is DTS-ES compatible. What exactly does that mean, will it decode for 6.1 channels or what? I'm kind of confused by the compatible part of the description!

Yes, Pioneer just does not want to pay the extra fees for licensing the DD EX symbol. Is it the same? Don't know but all the movies that are supposed to have the rear channel check out on my d850s. You have to select 6-D Theater mode to get it to do 6 channel sound. Oh, yes it will also do DTS ES.
