i'm making the jump into the home theatre world and am looking at building a budget system. so far i'm looking at the fluance sx-htb for speakers right now with my dads old bose speakers to make up the rest of the 7.1 setup and upon looking i found the pioneer d815 which for the price ($400 canadian) seems like a bargain and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this receiver or another they would suggest for about the same price.

also i'm trying to stay at around 400 for the receiver as this is only for a budget system which a sub will be added to later

also as much as i would love to buy off ebay that isn't an option, only will be able to get what is available locally which means no yamaha 5760 :frowning:

the D815 is a good choice, I happen to have this receiver and it works great I only use it for dvd movies and for the xbox. the fluance speakers are a good choice for the budget minded as well.
