Pioneer new DV-747 Progressive DVD Player w/Multichannel SACD & DVD-Audio- (1 Viewer)

Pioneer will be releasing what I have been waiting for a DVD player that can do Progressive, the new Multi-channel SACD and DVD-Audio all in one. It comes out in January by the looks of things with a price of around $1399 (I converted the price so think it is correct.)

The problem is that the SACD signal will be converted so that it will play those too. This means it can play SACD but isn't a real SACD player and with that, I do not think you will get all possible sound quality the SACD is capable of.

The DV-747 may not be a US model. I know the DV-737 was a European model. Maybe Pioneer will offer a DVD-Audio/SACD player of some sort to the US, but it may not be the DV-747. Time will tell. Of course, if it process SACD through a PCM DAC, then it won't matter.
