About this time last year i was near completion of my home theater, but i ran out of the green... so I had to put my dvr-DVD player on hold. Now i'm ready to get it and I noticed that pioneer doesn't make one in their elite line anymore. It's still in there archives online but I have one questions. Does this have i-Link? I have a Pioneer Elite VSX-59TXi receiver and woud like to use the i-link to connect this to my DVD player.

If it doesn't is there a DVR / DVD player on the market that has ilink so I can connect it to my 59-TXi?

Lite-On uses firewire and a few others, but not sure what advantage it has? Sony just came out with a DVD recorder model 300 , it did not include firewire?? I own a Sony camcorder which has it and wondering now whether there is any advantage having firewire port, since sony did not consider??
