Just bought the new DV563a DVD player -- and it works fine for my DVD's and CD.

For some reason I get no sound when playing SACD/DVD-a -- I am using the 5.1 analog connection (regular RCA type plugs) and the DVD player shows it is outputting that signal. The AMP (45TX) should automatically recognize the signal and ignore the digital connection and the front display on the AMP says analog input.

Anyone give me a clue where I might have gone wrong ?????

Not neccesarily. Hit the Multi-Channel In button on your remote or cycle through the input options.

Agreed, most pre/pros as well as receivers must be 'engaged' for analog input signals. It's the digital modes that are automatic.
