after only a year my Pioneer DV45A player just stopped playing DVDs. it will still play CDs and SACDs, but if i try to play a DVD or DVD-audio it says "loading" for a little while, and then it opens. any ideas how to fix this? anyone ever have the same problem? i already tried resetting the player and cleaning the lens.

I'm going to assume you mean retail DVDs. In my early days of figuring out the best way to make compliant DVD-Rs (for my authoring projects), that's usually what happened if it couldn't read the disc properly.

If it's been only a year though, the Elite warranty is 2/3 years (can't remember which), so take it in for servicing.
