Would you people say these are comparable players? I've got both, but I think I'm gonna stick with the Pioneer as my dvd player. The x-box seems to have more red for some reason. Maybe it's all in my head, I don't know. I'm only running on a 27" RCA tv, but still, I swear there is more red with the x-box. Anyone else?

Check out some threads hear and at home theater talk regarding SACD and DVD-A player performance as regular CD players. The general rule of thumb is, dollar-for-dollar, a unit that does something as a primary function will do that thing better than a unit that does it as a secondary function. i.e. decent SACD players still run about $500, any CD only player at $500 is going to much better. Stick with the Pioneer for DVD playback.
