Hello All,
I received a Pioneer CLD-1080 LD player. Anyone know the quality of this player, Qua;ity, Price value? Anything else you can add will be most welcomed??? Thanks so much

Circa 1990. The 1000 series was generally the entry level players with single side play and can't do slow motion or frame by frame on CLV discs.

The xx80 series wasn't bad overall for the time and probably a bit better quality than the xx90 series which followed. If it works, it's probably not a bad player for watching on a smaller TV, but if I remember this series was prone to overheating and crosstalk issues.

It's probably worth $50-75 depending on the condition and if it's playable. Probably would make a pretty decent CD player if nothing else.
