I was having someone in the states buy me an 811 and send it to me, but now BB has their price back up to $379.00. I can only get it if the price is $299.00 like it was. I need to know if there is a place where I can still get it for $299.00. It can't be an Internet deal, I need it to be able to be picked up at a store. The person sending it to me is in California, so CC, Fry's etc. would work. Since I can't see ad's for these places where I live, I was hoping that someone here has seen where it might be available for the lower price.

Thanks for any help you can give.

6ave.com has it for $287...but that's Internet only. Will a local store price match them?

I believe some still carry the older(?) model 811 instead of 811S.

    Jack,

When I say 811, I mean the 811S. I'm not sure if there is an 811, I have only seen the "S" advertised.

I think the $299 deal at Best Buy this week is for the 711. At the bottom of the ad it says "Add a Rear Center Speaker -- 600 Watt....Receiver" and lists the 811s for $399, though the regular price I've seen at the store is $379.

There is no such thing as the Pioneer 811 - only the 811s. If a dealer is advertising the 811, then it's the same. I believe the 811s replaced the 850 - or, some similar model. Don't worry if you just see the 811 listed without the "s" - it's the same.

Actually, typing 811 instead of 811s was out of laziness on my part. I meant 811s as that is the only one I am familiar with.
