I'm considering a purchase of the 45tx (and yes, the 3803 as well....). Anyway, the 45tx would sit next to the TV, which would be approximately 26 feet from the viewing area. Can/does the microphone cord of the 45tx (assuming it has a cord) reach far enough to use the MCACC? If not, are there ways around that? Thank you!

    Joseph,

The cord is 20 feet long. It looks like it has a standard minijack microphone plug on the end where it plugs into the front of the receiver, perhaps a cheap extension cable might be found at Radio Shack.

Alternatively you could move the receiver closer to your seating position, do the MCACC, then move it back to it's normal resting place. All you need to connect to the receiver to do the calibration is the speakers and a video cable from the receiver to the tv for the on-screen display.

yes you can use regular minijack extension cord sold by (for example) Rat Shack.
