My friend bought a 1014 open box at BB which didn't come with the microphone. Could any microphone be used for the MCAC setup?

In a previous thread someone used a computer mike with sucess, might be the way to go.

Don't you think the receiver MACC is calibrated to match the response of the microphone furnished by Pioneer? If so, MACC would not yield good results with a dissimilar mic.

Why don't you contact Pioneer (info inside instruction book) for the correct microphone?

Mic only costs about $30 from Pioneer...
