    Hi there

I've got the first 5 pink panther films and four of them have matching blue covers but 'the return of the pink panther' is a white one.

Does anybody out there have the newer(?) blue one to match the rest - with picture on spine etc?

    Many thanks,

The third film, RETURN OF THE PINK PANTHER, was produced by ITC. 1, 2, 4 & 5 were produced by United Artists. RETURN was released on dvd by Artisan, and the others by MGM/UA.

It's too bad Artisan didn't design the cover of RETURN to match the MGM ones.

Maybe some day we'll see 16x9 SpEd remasters of all 5,

with Artisan licensing RETURN to MGM for inclusion in a nice box-set.

The other 3 PINK PANTHER films, TRAIL OF..., CURSE OF...

and SON OF... aren't worth releasing (IMHO). Blake Edwards should be ashamed for continuing the series after Peter Sellers' death.

Thanks for that Matt. I couldn't agree more regarding the last three - the only thing that springs to my mind from when I first watched them was 'how sad' [IMG]

Personally, I'd rather see the Cartoon released on DVD, wich had the best animated Theme Song Ever [IMG].

I agree with Neil V. I love the movies but the cartoon is great and the theme tune is real catchy.

The 'Pink Panther' movies are probably my favorite comedies ever made (well, at least until Sellers died). But I do not own them. I would definately pick up a remastered box set (HINT HINT MGM [IMG] )
