Hello all, does anyone have any pictures they could post of a isf calibrated Panny pt47wx49? I'm planning on taking the plunge early next year, (hopefully Gregg Loewen will calibrate for me) I just want to see the dramatic improvement a calibration does to a rptv. thanks Al

I could be mistaken, but really any pictures taken compressed digitally and put on the internet well wont they introduct all kinds of artifacts to the wholepicture giving you a misrepentsation of what a good calibration will do?

    Greetings

Add to that the monitor that you view the images on is not exactly calibrated so what additional artifacts will be added to the image.

And what will your viewing program add to the mix?

And how optimal were the conditions when you actually took the image. Were the exposures set correctly ... yadda yadda ...

Nope, its pretty hard to show in pictures what the after looks like.

    Regards

You could post two pics, one fully calibrated and one before calibration. Everything else being the same you should be able to tell a difference. This may work.

I do have a samples page with just that. Before and After on a Mitsubishi 46809. www.wasatchss.com then click on samples.
    I would like feedback.

Bryce, those differences are amazing... I can only imagine what a difference it makes in real-life.

Tell me, what was the amount of use on the Mitsubishi Ws-46809 when you did the calibration? Was it a new set out of the box?

It had 1 to 2 months of use. I pushed Av reset on the tv, so everything is Mitsubishi default. Again, your starting point most likely won't be that bad. The dvd player was a cheap panasonic rv-31. Hence still ringing is evident due to poor performance of the player.

    Thanks.

EE is eliminated via I2c fix. What you are seeing is the dvd players ringing that many peolpe confuse with EE from the source.

With a Rp-91 the ringing disappears. Set to the "u" settings.
