I made a small thread about my doing that last year, since last year was the 10th anniversary of the film's release.
When I finally got a widescreen TV (last August) I noticed how soft the film looks, but from a distance it looked just fine to me.
The audio is fantastic - I love aggressive surrounds, and this fit the bill nicely.
