Here are some pics of a PB1 clone I built for a friend using an original SVS driver and the Parts Express 250w amp. It is finished with truck bedliner paint as suggested here. This thing pounds!

Also, I'm currently building the Adire alignment Tempest for myself. Pics soon.

Heavy! I can't move the thing and it is just the cabinet minus legs right now. UPS says the driver gets here today, and everything else is ready to install. The wait is killing me.

    Great job Bob, cool looking...

Is this finish pure black or with a touch of grey in?

Is your port a 3" or a 4", it look like it must be close to the driver inside...

It pounds better with some arm oil on it isn't it?... hehe...

Rob, Keep in mind that there are several SVS drivers. You can frequently find some drivers that owners have pulled and upgraded with the next realease for sale here in our "for sale" section.

Finally, there are many drivers out there. I don't really want to get into a "x is better than y" driver at this point. However, if you do look at the specs, you will see some that might be of a lower level than the SVS drivers, equal level and even better level.

What makes SVS so popular is the sum of all its parts. They produce a well-executed design, utilize some great components and price them at a very competitive level - compared to what we can find on the shelves (and floors) of our local audio retailers. - Gee, I hope that didn't sound too much like a marketing plug for SVS. Hey guys, sorry for the delay, I just got back from a little vacation...

Well, I'm done, and I can't begin to explain what this thing can do. It can literally take your breath away!

Thanks for all of the compliments, I put a good bit of work into this sub.
