Why are there 4 connectors on one side & 8 on the other?

My guess is that there so you can bi-wire a speaker with only one amp.

Those are very nice looking cables btw. The only cable I have made so far is the CAT5 speaker cables. Of course mine look like crap though [IMG]. What type of cable did you use for the conductor? Is it just standard 12 Ga zip cord or something really fancy?

Those look pretty slick. What kind of banana plugs are those and where did you find them? I have been looking for some decent priced locking ones, but have not had good luck doing so.

    Thanks,

Nice. The breakout looks great. How did you do the transition if you don't mind me asking. It looks a lot claner then your first set.

I'm not David, but I know where those locking bananas came from. A guy in SoCal sells them on Ebay- search for "locking banana plugs" Quality is so so, but very cheap.

ya, brian nailed it on the head,

    regarding materials

3-1 dual wall adhesive heatshrink finished with 2-1 red heat shrink. Cables used are Canare 4s11.

thanks for the compliment, I would hope they look a lot cleaner, these are like the 12th pair of cables ive made [IMG] with each pair, I get cleaner results.

There for speakers that have separate crossovers for the woofer and tweeter. You can use two amps one per driver or one amp and one of these cables that splits the signal. Or you can use a little metal jumper at the terminal cup of the speaker [IMG].
