I don't agree with the banning, and I said that in my post. I simply disagreed that the idea is paranoia. The idea, flawed as it may be, is simply the work of people looking to try to do something to help secure one of the more vulnerable aspects of the city.

That's all it is.

To be honest, it's more about communicating the perception of a safer city than actually making the city safer.
