Phono preamp for HK AVR-520? (1 Viewer)

I'm sure this has been asked before but the search function is down.

As you may know, the HK AVR-520 does not have a phono input. What will I need to use a turntable with this receiver? Just a phono preamp and an interconnect?

Is there anything special I should look for in a preamp? I've seen some cheap ($16) RCA ones on eBay - will that do the job? Thanks for your help.
