I'll still be buying it even if it's missing out on what could be a great special edition release.

Oh well, I'll still buy it. But I will agree with the rest, that cover is ugly. It looks like some bad direct-to-video release.

I was wondering when there'd be a good movie release in July. I had nothin...

That's it for the specs? Makes me kinda wanna hang on to the EPK I have. Too bad. :frowning:
20th Century Fox usually kicks butt in that dept.

And yet another cover quote from Earl Dittman of the non-existant "Wireless Magazines." The FTC should really investigate studios' use of his blurbs.

Terrible cover. Second only to the new Frighteners cover. Argggggh

Isn't this movie still doing well in theaters??? Seems a bit early to already announce the dvd!

Pleeeeeeeeeeze change the cover? Thanks. :)

Boo on Sutherland's face and no Larry Cohen commentary.
Boo on Sutherland's face, the high SRP, no short film inspiration, and no features outside Schumacher commentary.

Sutherland should totally NOT be on the cover like that. Nor should Forest, really.

Hmm. Having not seen the movie, I wouldn't have known that the cover was a spoiler had you folks not indicated that the cover was indeed a spoiler. From there I put two and two together, and I guess the movie is... somewhat spoiled for me.

For the good of the rest of the movie-going public, could someone edit the title of this thread to indicate that there are spoilers?

I haven't seen the movie yet, but what is the spoiler here? Are you guys referring to Sutherland being on the cover? If so, Sutherland was on Jay Leno (or was it Letterman) telling people about his role in this movie. Or is there something else I'm missing?

^ Sounds like there's something else I'm missing. Thanks for writing that, but I didn't read what you wrote for the spoiler...I guess I'll wait for the DVD to find out then. :)

The "short film inspiriation" thing appears to be something that someone on IMDb decided for themselves. I saw Larry Cohen talk about the process of writing the screenplay in person the day before the film was released, and he said nothing about any short film that inspired him. The original concept came to him in the 1960s, and he decided on using the sniper as a plot device in the 1990s as a result of thinking about one of his own films (God Told Me To). I don't blame Fox for failing to include some random NYU student film that had nothing to do with Larry Cohen's script.

And as for the new cover art, just dial 1-800-CRAPPY
I guess there is no DTS as they also put the fullscreenoption on the film.

BTW I have tigerland as well (another schumacher/farrell film) and that one doesn't have many more extras then this.
