Every now and then my picture on my tv coming from my phillips tivo has a flickering color. It totally messes up the color for several minutes at a time. I am worried because right now it comes and then goes and then there is no problem, but this tivo is less than 6 months old. what happens in a year when the picture does this all the time??

Has anyone had this problem?? and if so, did you get it taken care of?

I havn't heard of this particular problem. Are you sure it's caused by the Tivo and not your TV? Have you checked the video connection from the Tivo to the TV (S-video or other)? Have you tried switching cables, different inputs on the TV, or switching from S-video to component to really track down the issue?

I would also suggest a trip over to www.tivocommunity.com for any Tivo related issues. Make sure you let people know which model Tivo your running, it will help them help you.

Good luck!

I went to a tivo newsgroup and quickly found this:

I don't know what causes it but I've found that briefly pausing the video
stream often lets the color sync immediately lock back up. Both of my year
old DTivo boxes do it and have since new.

Sounds like the exact problem I have had. It is not my TV as this NEVER has happened whiole watching a DVD or a vhs tape.
