Philips DVD963SA and sub signal (1 Viewer)

Well, I don't mind looking foolish but I obviously need help with this problem I am having with the super audio playback from this philips unit - I can get my sub to work with any of my 6 channel SA cds (and regular CDs) but my 2 channel SA cds (such as all of my Rolling stone CDs) won't give me a sub signal - I have tried every durn menu setting I could find with no avail - I thought this unit did some bass mgmt - does yours give a sub signal w/ the 2 channel SA cds ?? Is this a 2 channel SA problem or a player problem ?

Ron, I don't know anything about that player, but can't you just hook up subwoofer to your receiver? Have you tried that and does it work properly?

Nope - no signal from the player in SACD stereo mode so nothing going to the rec'r.
