Wow! This just dropped below $50

I knew that it would go down in price. Might bite on this now but didn't I hear there were some issues going on with a few episodes of this set and has CBS/Paramount Home Video addressed these issues and going to issue replacement discs?

I heard something about this but not sure, just need clarification before deciding to get this set. Thanks.

UPDATE: Listed at $51.99 right now (4/13/2025 at 3:25 PM CT) but could still drop in price.

I just watched the first episode of the Hollywood arc of the 4th year. I haven’t seen it in a while. I had forgotten the whole gag of the pie spilling on William Holden when Lucy and Fred and Ethel have lunch at the Brown Derby.

Just for fun, I dug around for vintage images of what the real Brown Derby was like and found this image, it’s got the same Jimmy Durante caricature seen on I Love Lucy. :)

The only episodes with excellent picture quality are from the Hollywood trip and the hour long shows with the missing footage restored. All of the other episodes are a slight improvement over the DVDs, but not much. The Dick Van Dyke Show blu rays are stunning quality, but Lucy not so much.

Is this CBS/Paramount's final classic TV release? They haven't released anything since.
