This certainly departs from the strategy of free initial downloads with pay-for-premiums following. It would be good marketing-wise to whet our appetites with some gratis material. Not going to pass judgement until I see more details about the final product, however.

Not necessarily true. The first downloads for LInks were $5.00 or so.

if it's additoinal content like new cars or tracks then I have to decide if the cost is worth it or not. If its a patch or something alone those lines that I have to pay for, I will have a problem with that. I don't forsee that being an issue. I would be willing to bet that the software developers are thinking along these lines too but I could be mistaken.

I underdtand it is 4.99 for a series of Paris tracks and cars. I think it is seven of them. Someone who has done it can chime in with specifics.
