Thank you for the kind words, Micheal. Yeah, it's hard to believe that she languished in the animal shelter for two months before we adopted her. I mean, just look at her. What's not to love?

As best we can tell, she's mostly a flat-coated retriever, but she must have something else mixed in to make her so small. Weighing in at only 32 pounds, she's just over half the weight of a regular golden or flat-coated retriever.

I'd never think of getting a dog anywhere other than a shelter. No dog should have to spend 2-3 months in a small cage hoping day after day that someone will adopt him or her. And shelter hounds are so much more loving because they're grateful at having been given a good home.

I'd like to get a cat, but alas ...no pets in my apartment complex. Sometimes I wonder what they'd do if I got one anyway :)

One of our two cats... Named Angel but you'd not know it :frowning:
The other cat is much cuter, and nicer :) I'll have to dig up a pic.

I had 3 dogs and a cat last year, but the cat succombed to cancer, one dog was murdered, and the other had to be put to sleep due to she losing the ability to walk. :frowning:
But I do have two great pets as of now...a boxer named Bosco (named after the early Looney Tune character) and Claudette (named after Claudette Colbert and also Claude Cat)
Here's some pictures of the two:

Awwww, Zoe up there looks so cute and innocent....
But don't fall for it, Steve. It's all an act. I bet she's like my other cat, Scar. Oh, sure, she tries to fool you by sitting there all cute and proper, but then she Jeckyll and Hyde's without warning.
"Don't make her angry. You wouldn't like her when she's angry." Grrrrrrrrrr!
