I personally think it's better to wait and see what titles Rare announces for Xbox before petitioning.

Indeed, Paul. I think a Conker's 2 is a pretty safe bet to happen, and I don't think Rare need a petition to know people want it [IMG]

You'd think that, but I'm pretty sure that BFD didn't do near as well as Rare had hoped, and this might not bode well for revisiting the property.

That being said though, I thought that the game was great, and would be all over an Xbox sequel.

While Conker did come out near the end of the console's life, games like Paper Mario and Mario Party 3 still sold pretty well. I remember when they lowered the prices for some old N64 games their sales shot up a bit, too.

I think the thing that hurt Conker is what made it so unique: the dirty stuff.

Not only did Conker come out late in the N64 life cycle, it was targeted to a (somewhat) older crowd than the typical N64 owner.

Hey, I have an N64 and I love it, and I'm not even selling it (even though the number of great games for it pales to the PS1 and the Dreamcast), but let's face it. Most N64 owners were kids.

Conker did pretty well. We still sell the shit out of it.

I agree, a petition is pretty pointless. Conker: Xbox is pretty much a lock. I'm interested to see if they do any Nintendo jokes in it.

Rare has already trademarked the title "Conker's Other Bad Day," which they wouldn't bother doing if they haven't been planning a sequel for awhile now.
