I'm pretty sure that saying "God Bless You" after someone sneezes goes back to the days when people believed that sneezing had something to do with the devil and saying "God Bless You" warded off evil spirits. Whatever. If you're like me and work in an office with lots of people invariably one or more of your co-workers will have a cold. And during the day "sickboy" or "sickgirl" will sneeze over and over again. And sure enough after every sneeze like clockwork, comes the reply "GOD BLESS YOU" from all those around. Over and over again. Wouldn't one "God Bless You" be enough for the whole day? I know this sounds kind of Seinfeld-esque but does this bug anyone else?? P.S. Yes I've tried "Gezhundtite" (sp?) but even that gets tired after a while.
