I presently have a Toshiba 9200 DVD player and I want better hardware for CD. I was condidering several players, but what about buying the P-3A DAC and using it with my Toshiba 9200?

What's your budget? That's the biggest issue I'd think.

I've been running the P-1A/P-3A for awhile and the combo is amazing. The P-3A by itself is an exceptional DAC, with the Dan Wright Mods -- which you can get directly from AV123 for only $99 extra -- it reaches a whole 'nother level entirely. Easly besting ANY CD player costing less than $700.

So if you have the $799 for the modded DAC, then I'd absolutely go for that. But if your budget isn't quite that high, then I'd look at a good quality CD player that's within your range.
