Now you mention it, I do remember on my PAL copy of Reservoir Dogs, 'Little Green Bag' that opens the film did sound slightly faster than usual.
I've never heard the problem with voices though.
I still recommend Eyes Wide Shut, though.

Ok, Matt...
I've ordered one up.....
I'm looking forward to the PAL to NTSC presentation. I have lived with the APEX so far. I can't take the PAL squeeze anymore. My BEASTMASTER disc looks like the OOMPA-LOOMPA version.
Question though, is this player VCR friendly?

If you are in the USA, you are used to how people talk properly. So when you watch a R2 PAL disc, the difference in pitch can be noticable.
Likewise, in PAL countries, we are used to people sounding higher pitched than normal. So we notice when we import an NTSC disc, that the voices are lower (albeit correct).
