    Hey Gang,

    My buddy just got a new setup and were having trouble with Pearl Harbor playing on it. When playing it there is no sound! If he cranks the sound way up he can here really faint sound, but that's it. I've told him to try different audi tracks, but don't really know what else to suggest. It play other titles, Crouching Tiger, fine. Just thought someone might have a suggestion. I know the basics, but haven't got my system up to par with his yet. Is there a known issue with a piece of his equipment and this title?

    His setup;

    Denon AVR1602 Receiver

    Pannasonic RP-56 DVD Player

    Sony 16x9 set

    Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

    May have just figured it out while searching another forum. Seems Denon has announced that some of the decoder-chips they have used in their 1602 and 1802 receivers have a small bug that makes the DD track on Pearl Harbor play at a very low volume. Supposedly the DTS version plays fine, though.
