I know that has been discussed before, but I cannot find the thread searching the archives.

I just got my sub built (and love it). The only problem is that my PE 250W amp doesn't turn on when in AUTO mode when watching Dish or DVD's at low volume.

I understand that the turn on senses voltage, and when the volume is low, there is a lower voltage signal going to the amp. What have people done to counter this?

Is leaving the amp ON all of the time OK for the amp? I refuse to have to turn it on whenever I turn on the sytem.

    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Antony

try upping the signal from your receiver and dropping the gain on the amp.

It's probably ok to leave them on. (insert disclaimer here [IMG] )

I have 4 that have been on almost constantly for over a year.

considering how hot the power supply gets when it's auto "off", it may really be on all the time, but in effect mutingthe output....maybe even how its able to turn on so quickly
