Hello,
I'm trying to hook my PC (Gateway essential 433c) up to my HDTV (KW-34HD1) via a VGA to component video adapter. My HDTV has only 480i and 1080i inputs and does not support the progressive scan resolutions of 480p or 720p.
I downloaded PowerStrip to my PC to make custom resolution adjustments as I was told that this would make it compatible with the HDTV's 1080 lines of interlaced video, but I'm not getting a picture. I'm convinced that the issue is with the possible limitations of the PC's video card.
Can anyone recommend an appropriate video card? Are they difficult to install?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried everything and beginning to loose hope that I can make this happen.
Regards...
John
