PC+Reciever=HUM??? (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone. Tonight I was hooking up my PC to my stereo and i get a hum coming from my stereo speakers. Anyone know why or if I can get rid of this hum? The sound card also only had the headphone style jack, so I am using a headphone splitter that changes into 2 regular RCA jacks. Thanks for any help.

Ok, so I got the hum to go away by disconnecting my cable tv lines from the wall. And when I plug them back in the hum comes back. So, I guess my question now is, is there anything that I can buy (a filter?) to put between the cable jack and the wires?
