There is a chance there could be some different titles at TRU for the Xbox and Gamecube as it says "Top 10 videogames" and there are only 10 listed in the ad for the PS2
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be -- they have the same deal online:

PS2
XBox
GameCube

The XBox/GameCube selections are just the multi-console titles from the PS2 list. Presumably the same will hold true in stores. Still not a bad deal by any stretch, though I was keeping my fingers crossed for KOTOR being on the list...

Well crappy release of games this week, but that not going to stop me from buying XBox Live along with getting Mech Assult or Castle Wolfenstein.

Any word on the new Greatest Hits games? I'm champing at the bit to pick up Kingdom Hearts and Hitman 2, but I'm not seeing the new price reflected at the stores. I thought this was supposed to happen on the 17th.

Yeah, in September, the Xbox Live Starter Kit will begin including a full version of MechAssault, and a different MSRP ($69.99). So, if you can wait, that is a pretty good savings on those 2 items together, unless there is some kind of sale going on.

I know about that deal, but I can always pick up Mech Assult easily for a good price from a used game store. Besides, it one of the rare times I can pay for XBox Live before it gets in the way of dvds.

I saw the new platinum hits at BB. Only thing that was weird was Unreal was still 29.99. Target has it for 17.88 so I had them PM it.

Thanks Jason.

No K-Marts in my area of the country anymore. I'll add it to the list.

No word on Hitman 2 and Kingdom Hearts yet. I'll let you know when I see something.

Sorry about that. It will be corrected. It was that price at CC as well, but they're running a $10 gift card as well.

Well, I finally caved and picked up Tony Hawk 2X for the Xbox, as well as Turok Evolution for the Xbox. Both were $9.99 at Amazon.com.

I've been holding off on these titles for a while, and $20 bucks for the two of them seems pretty fair to me.

According to Target's "Getintothegame" site, Here are the dates for some of the PS2 Greatest Hits titles.

Coming on 9/4/03

Tekken 4
Hitman 2
Conflict Desert Storm
Sly Cooper
Ratchet and Clank

10/08/03

Kingdom Hearts

Looks like we have to wait a while for a few of them, but not too much longer. :)

1) Does anyone know of current 'trade-in deals' from EB (or elsewhere) where they give you higher-than-usual value on trade-in games when buying selected titles?
2) Is there any easy way to track this info online on an ongoing basis?

Michael,

I've heard of a trade 3 games for F-Zero promotion, but I'm not quite certain of all of the details on it.

In response to your 2nd question, if it is pertaining to trade in deals, the best places to look are places like this or other forums that specialize in getting you the best deal on a game, or just going to a local EB. :)

Good luck.

Glen
