Yeah, at this point Wario Ware is the only title that I'm thinking about... but no need to purchase it immediately. I just looked at my collection and sighed deeply as I haven't even cracked the cases of the last 10 or so that I've bought. :P

No needs for the thanks. I still enjoy doing it. :)

It's only a couple days notice now, but one of the major retail chains did have Rise of Nations available over the weekend. If you think about it, I'm sure you'll hit the bull's eye ;) . I have to say, it's a pretty fun game, and I don't normally like RTS. Definite recommendation for those who enjoy Civilization-type games.

Yeah, Rise of Nations was the game I was waffling on for game of the week.

I might pick it up eventually. I've been messing around with the Civ games for years now.

Rise of Nations really does feel quite a bit like a Civ game. There is a major emphasis placed on building your cities and developing your nation along many paths (military, commercial, etc.). I don't really see how you could be very successful by just focusing on one front; for instance, in order to develop better military units you need the right structures which require advances in other areas which means you have to pursue knowledge and so on. I like this because it seems to diminish the power of the early rush - unless you really neglect to build an army, which is possible. There are also quite a few options of game types. There is online multiplayer (something I've never tried in previous similar games) but the solo game is quite robust. You can set up a world of any size with any number of opposing nations, play a scenario where you attempt to reach a specific goal, or play the Risk-style Conquer the World.

You know, as I type this I realize it probably should go in games, so I'll put a copy there. If you (Glen or anyone) have any other questions, feel free to ask. I'm no pro, but I'll tell you what I can.

And thanks for this weekly thread Glen. I can't afford to buy most of what I would like, but it's always nice to keep up on things, and finding all the bargains in one place is great!

Finally after trying for weeks, my local Blockbuster marked Metroid Prime down to $20. Been meaning to pick up the latest installment of one of my favorite game series of all time since it was released. Finaly got around to it (too many games too little time). A steal at $20 for a new copy.
Also picked up a used Resident Evil Zero marked down to $14.99 - the $25% off sale = $11.24.

Game disc are in great shape, & the manual was included.
Awesome deal on these 2 games!

Glen great job as usual in putting this together. I would have missed this one if it were not for your work here. Thanks! :emoji_thumbsup:

Hmm... I think I might have to hit some of the local Blockbusters again to see about this 25% off deal. Although, most of the stores in my area keep losing their manuals... which is quite annoying.

A few new updates to the price drop list have been added.

I haven't seen MotoGP 2 for anything less than $49 yet. You might get lucky and spot it for $5 at Sams, but I think your best deal will be the $5 Gamer's Card coupon thang at Best Buy.

Has anyone seen any reviews online for the new Evil Dead PS2 game? I saw one at bloody-disgusting that gave it thumbs up across the board and for $20 it might be worth it for us die hard Ash fans!!

Yeah, I've been thinking about picking that one up. I just want to hear the "word on the street" before I throw $20 bucks at it.

Glen,

Great thread as always.

I saw Unreal Championship at Blockbuster for $19.99. Don't have Live but may read some reviews and see if its worth the plunge for the single player campaign only.

If you're worried about your wife not liking the DOA game, maybe you should wait until Outlaw Volleyball comes out.;)

Yeah, Outlaw Volleyball isn't really on my list either. :P

She's kind of picky about that sort of thing. :)
