I think things are starting to pick up in the gaming industry as we get past the holiday season. I'm starting to see more and more titles being released each week, or maybe I'm just hoping to see more.

My sentimental Game of the Week is PTO IV for the PS2, but that's only due to the fact that I played PTO for the SNES so much.

Wavebird was on sale for $29.99 at BestBuy. Combine that with those $5 off coupons and you have a wavebird for $25. I also picked up Rogue Leader for $15 after using another $5 off coupon.

There are things in a CD jewel case at Best Buy that include a Gift Cert that you have to buy. Once you buy those, you get a $5 off coupon.

I guess you can put as little as a penny on the gift card, and then you have a $5 off any $20 video game purchase at Best Buy.

re: Target, yes the flyer had nothing advertised. But I have noticed that at my local Target has unadvertised specials. About 9 months ago I saw Gun Valkyrie for $19.99 while everyone else was still charging $49.99 for it. And then I saw Madden 2003 for $29.99 about 3 months ago while everyone else still charged $39-$49. Neither one of those specials were on the flyer. So if you live near a Target it never hurts to go in and look for any local deals...

Shipping is pretty cheap, especially for multiple items, and I received my games in short order when they had Godzilla for $19.50 ($22.00 now; numerous games still at $19.50 -- Baldur's Gate, Burnout, Blood Omen 2 etc.).

Starting next week Nintendo is dropping the Mario Sunshine bundle to $159.95. Add that to the free game that you'll be getting with the system when you purchase it and you're looking at 2 games, and a mem card for less than $160. A pretty good deal to those of you out there without a Gamecube.
